My Mattel Ideas is a product submission portal. Here you can submit your product ideas to Mattel for consideration for the next toy, game, or baby gear item.
You must be 18 years or older to submit a product idea on My Mattel Ideas. If you’re not 18 years or older, your parent or legal guardian can submit on your behalf.
Typically, the submission review process can take up to 4 to 6 weeks.
You can begin the submission process by entering a valid birthdate and clicking on the Accept button on the My Mattel Ideas Submission Agreement page. By clicking on the Accept button, you are acknowledging that you are submitting the product idea in accordance with the provisions set forth in the My Mattel Ideas Submission Agreement.
Once you have done this, you will be directed to the Submission Form page.
If you would like to submit multiple product ideas, each product idea must be submitted one at a time on its own unique Submission Form.
Videos can be recorded on an iPhone, iPad or Android. Formats with good playback support are MP4, QuickTime (.mov files) and 3GP encoded in H.264/AAC codec.
A good video should highlight the product innovation as well as any key features of a product idea that are noted in the product description in approximately 60 seconds. The product idea itself should be the main focus of the video accompanied by a clear voiceover explaining exactly how the product idea works.
Yes. You can submit a video that shows your detailed sketch or sketches and gives specific details about your product idea.
My Mattel Ideas does not allow for submission-specific communications between You and Mattel. Once you’ve submitted your product idea, you will receive a confirmation email that the product idea has been received. You should receive another email in the future letting you know if we have selected your idea for a closer look, or if your idea just isn’t right for Mattel.
Once the Product Submission Form has been submitted, you cannot modify your submission.
Maybe. Please review the Submission Agreement for more detail – in particular Section 5.

If you want your idea and personal data removed from My Mattel Ideas, send an email to MyMattelIdeas@Mattel.com requesting this to be done.
